Mauricio Zuazua



Mauricio Zuazua, a partner with A.T. Kearney Middle East, brings 15 years of experience advising business leaders and top government officials on topics such as strategic growth, diversification, and capability development across more than 20 countries. Prior to embracing the GCC region in 2007 as his new home, Mauricio worked in A.T. Kearney’s São Paulo, New York, and Washington, D.C. offices. His work in the private sector has been primarily focused in asset-intensive industries, including logistics infrastructure, real estate, and manufacturing. Within these industries, Mauricio has advised CXOs to not only develop and plan, but also implement organic and inorganic growth strategies, business transformation programs, and merger integrations, resulting in tangible impact to the organizations he supports. Working with governments, Maricio has led economic diversification, competitiveness, and capability building—both human and institutional—for multiple countries in GCC, greater Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Further, he has extensive experience in greenfield mega-project structuring, planning, funding, business development and launch—in developing economies. Mauricio has played a key role in the development and restructuring of free zones, industrial and logistics hubs in the GCC, and is regularly quoted in the press. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in civil engineering from Monterrey Tech, Mexico.
