Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd


Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd is Chairwoman of Drive Sweden. She was Sweden's Minister for Infrastructure from 2010 to 2014 and was previously County Commissioner of Finance at the Stockholm County Council. She joined the County Council in 2008 from the Parliament, where she was Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on the Labour Market, and previously of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment and Agriculture.

Imagine a future where self-driving cars, trains and buses are all seamlessly connected through an app, where traffic jams are a thing of the past and redundant car parks have been turned into green spaces. This could be the world we live in by 2030, says Cathis Elmsäter-Svärd, Chairwoman of Drive Sweden and a member of the Global Future Council on Mobility, in this interview.
