Georg Graetz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Uppsala University. His research interests include the effects of technological progress on productivity, wages and employment; the effects of educational outcomes, such as performance in university degrees, on earnings; as well as the determinants of human capital investments. He obtained his PhD in Economics in 2014 and a BSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics in 2009, both from the London School of Economics.

To discover the impact of robots on the average manufacturing worker, we analysed their effect in 14 industries across 17 developed countries from 1993 to 2007. We found that industrial robots increase labour productivity, total factor productivity and wages.
