| Kickstarter | Facebook

Kevin founded Plum Geek to design new robotics and technology platforms that are easy to hack and to learn from. He is driven to invite new people into the field of technology, coding, and robot science. He is mostly self-taught thanks to the many people who have shared their ideas and open source knowledge on the internet. Kevin has worked as a hardware and product developer for the photography industry for the past six years with a knowledge of embedded systems and wireless communications. He is inspired by and includes his two kids in the design process. Kevin operates a design and manufacturing shop located near Portland, OR, where the Ringo robots will be produced.

Ringo Purple 800xRingo is a friendly pet robot bug based on the Arduino UNO that was inspired and co-designed by my 1st grade daughter Hailey and my 3rd grade son Parker, who are both already writing C code. We started out intending to build just one robot together, but we realized something much greater could be done in producing Ringo for the masses. There is only a few days left of our crowdfunding campaign – we hope it will catch the curiosity of young engineers and also have a particular appeal to girls who may not otherwise become interested in coding and technology.
