HEARBO Robot by Honda localizes and recognizes sounds | Automaton

Honda Research Institute creates HEARBO (HEAR-ing roBOT), a robot capable of localizing, separating, and recognizing sound sources. This allows the robot to focus on important sound sources, such as a human issuing a command, instead of background noise or noise coming from its own motors.
