Ludovic Daler is a Ph.D student at the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems (LIS). In April 2011 he graduated with a Master degree in Micro-Engineering, specialized in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, from the EPFL in Switzerland. He did his Master thesis within the NanoRobotics Laboratory, at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh USA. Where he designed and realized a perching mechanism for a flying robot using gecko inspired fibrillar adhesives. Since May 2011, Ludovic has been working towards a Ph.D degree in robotics at the LIS, he works on the design of robots capable of multi-modal air and land locomotion.
