NREC to automate strawberry blossom and weed removal

“NREC is developing automated equipment to trim blossoms and remove weeds from strawberry plants.  Lassen Canyon Nursery (LCN), one of California’s largest strawberry plant growers, is sponsoring this two year project.  The goal is to reduce blossom removal and weeding costs while maintaining the high quality of LCN’s strawberry plants.”
