Devashish Tambade is a Research Support Engineer (Robotics & Mechatronics) at Bristol Robotics Laboratory, University of Bristol. A mechanical engineer who wandered into robotics, embedded systems, digital fabrication and, eventually, product design, he is particularly interested in the messy bit between an idea and something that actually works. He spends his time building, breaking, fixing and occasionally redesigning things, from robots and research prototypes to the tools and systems that help other people build them. He also writes AnyBody Can Design, a newsletter about learning product design by observing the surprisingly strange things people do with everyday objects. If you want to find him online, just Google his full name. There appears to be only one Devashish Tambade on the internet, which makes things pleasantly straightforward.
