Dr. Ernest Earon has been involved in intelligent vehicle R&D and remote sensing platforms for over 10 years. The focus in all of his work is to enable the best possible data collection by putting as much intelligence into the platform as possible. With a background in artificial intelligence, Dr. Earon has led projects such as autonomous lunar excavators designed to prepare for manned moon landings and highly fault tolerant unmanned airships. He has also worked with Defense R&D Canada to develop fleets of communicating autonomous aircraft. He earned his doctorate from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies in 2004. While the R&D side of PrecisionHawk is his passion, he gains the most satisfaction from seeing the systems at work.
