Travis Deyle has a PhD from Georgia Tech's Healthcare Robotics Lab. Subsequently he was a NSF/CRA Computing Innovation (CI) Postdoc Fellow at Duke University where he worked on cutting-edge, wireless backscatter sensing systems (wireless power harvesting and comms) to capture high-fidelity neural signals from a dragonfly in flight (aka, a "cyborg dragonfly"). He has
published extensively in robotics, and he is fascinated by novel sensor and actuator technologies, robotics, wireless power and communication, and ubiquitous computing.
Travis also runs the prominent robotics blog,
Hizook.com. He can be reached via
TravisDeyle.com.
(Fun fact: Travis recently took a temporary hiatus from robotics to pursue a venture-funded women's fashion startup,
Lollipuff.com. He swears he'll circle back to robotics and sensing soon enough.)
