Xiangxiao Liu was a postdoctoral researcher at BIOROB starting in 2019. His work explores animal sensory-driven locomotion and applies bioinspired insights to robotic design and control. He developed biomimetic robots and neuromechanical simulations to probe sensor-motor coordination, alongside a unified neural model combining sensing, central brain computation, and spinal locomotor circuits. Now serving as an Senior Expert at China Huadian, Dr. Liu completed his PhD at Osaka University before undertaking research at EPFL.
