Filmmaker Christopher Nolan says he wanted to ‘remove any trace of anthropomorphism’ from the robots in his latest movie, ‘Interstellar,’ so they don’t have faces, arms or legs, but they do have voices and personalities. He asked his designer to make them look as if they had been created by German-born modernist architect Mies van der Rohe.
