Dylan Glas



Dylan is the lead architect for the ERICA android system in the ERATO Ishiguro Symbiotic Human-Robot Interaction Project, and he is a senior researcher at ATR in Kyoto, Japan and a guest associate professor at Osaka University. His main research tries to answer the question, "how can we create a robotic mind?" To this end, his research applies machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to perception of human behavior, the modeling of social interactions, and the generation of autonomous social behaviors for robots. In his free time, he is a singer/songwriter and enjoys photography and the game of go.
