Martin Garrad

Martin Garrad is a PhD student with the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Autonomous and Robotic Systems (FARSCOPE), based at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory. He is interested in the design and control of soft and hard robots, with a particular emphasis on understanding how embodiment can simplify control and reduce the need for explicit computation. For his PhD, he is investigating mechanisms and methods which allow robots to adapt their morphology online.
