
Philipp Oettershagen is currently a research assistant and PhD student at ETH Zurich’s Autonomous Systems Lab (ASL). He is leading ASL’s research on long-endurance solar-powered Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in a response to the increasing need for large-scale mapping, observation and inspection missions using small and easy-to-deploy UAVs. Philipp holds M.Sc. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from University of Stuttgart, Germany, and California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, US.
