Ryan Cousins is cofounder and CEO of krtkl (“critical”), a San Francisco-based company making open-source, professional-caliber hardware and software for connected robots, drones, and computer vision systems more practical for makers and engineers alike. Mr. Cousins has played the role of R&D engineer, program manager, IP advisor, product evangelist, chief marketer, and intrepid globetrotter. With expertise in the business strategy, technical, and leadership aspects of starting and running a robotics technology company, he has served as a panelist, presenter, and judge for several conferences and competitions focusing on the current and future state of robotics and embedded systems. With a BS in mechanical engineering from UCLA, he lives for producing products people love.
