Here is a cool find on Instructables, Soft Robots: Make An Artificial Muscle Arm And Gripper
In addition to the cool way this is created, I like how mikey77 is thinking about how this type of robot will be good to interact with humans. Soft robots would definitely cause less injuries, so if they are working in a crowded environment, it would definitely be a good idea to apply them there!
