This robot needs just a few seconds to learn to walk again after you break its legs
As we move slowly towards a future where robots are mobile, rather than bolted securely in-place on a production line, robots will begin to experience the same kind of bumps and bruises that humans endure on a daily basis. If robots are to become truly useful, they’ll have to be able to autonomously recover from damaged circuits and broken limbs. This new robot is an important step in the right direction.
