National Geographic uses AGVs and drones for photo story about lions

August 12, 2013

Once again National Geographic photographers have used innovative techniques to capture amazing images. Remember the polar bear cam in 2011 that got crushed by the curious bear as he examined and stepped on it?
This time photo journalist Michael Nichols used camouflaged SuperDroid Robots’ AGVs and quiet drones to capture the lives of lions on the Serengeti. Did you know they are the only cat that is truly social?
The August issue of National Geographic has the story and a terrific online component as well.
