Torsten Andre is a researcher, author, volunteer, teacher, and many things more. He works at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, Austria at the Institute of Networked and Embedded Systems (NES) led by Christian Bettstetter. His research focuses on the organization of multi-robot systems in indoor environments focusing on communication and coordination. Besides theoretical research, application of theoretical work in a test bed of multiple robots is of major importance. He received his diploma degree at RWTH Aachen, Germany at the former Insitute of Communication Networks (ComNets) led by Bernhard Walke. Torsten Andre is founding member of the IEEE Student Branch Klagenfurt and served as its first Chair. He continues his efforts for the IEEE within the IEEE Austria Section as Executive Member and Student Branch Coordination officer.
