SwRI sets low-cost ROS-I consortium membership entry fees

Shaun Edwards, a senior research engineer in SwRI’s Automation and Data Systems Division, having recognized a need for standardized software that could easily be ported from one industrial robot to another, spent time at Willow Garage developing ROS-Industrial.  SwRI is now sponsoring the inception of the ROS-I Consortium to further that development, and has set membership fees low enough that even small companies can afford to participate.
